Team Lead for Faculty Support Team - Department of Faculty Support - Georgetown University Law School

At Georgetown Law, our Department of Faculty Support is dedicated to assisting the full-time, non-clinical faculty with the range of their Georgetown teaching responsibilities, committee assignments and scholarly work. Each full-time, non-clinical faculty member is assigned a faculty assistant who supports, on average, fifteen assigned faculty members. Each faculty assistant has a team lead, who provides coverage on faculty assistant work-from-home days and executes more specialized administrative tasks, including reimbursement submission and workshop coordination.

Each Team Lead provides assigned support to 5 to 8 faculty members, and serves as a general support point-of-contact for the 30 to 40 faculty in their area who are supported by Faculty Assistants. Support services may include assisting faculty with the entire range of their Georgetown teaching responsibilities, committee assignments, and scholarly work.

Work Interactions

Receiving direct oversight from the Director of Faculty Support, the Team Lead for Faculty Support Team works closely with the other Team Leads, and effectively assigns work to Faculty Assistants to ensure an equitable distribution of work in their area.

As well, the Team Lead effectively collaborates and communicates with all members of the Law Center community (faculty, students, and staff), vendors, visitors, and the public in order to provide comprehensive, high-level support to the faculty.
