Job Overview
The Human Capital Management (HCM) Business Operations Analyst performs a variety of human resources activities in support of Georgetown Law’s Department of Employment Services.
They serve as a subject matter expert and Human Resources Contact, working closely with the Director of Georgetown Law Human Resources to prioritize business operations and to support to stakeholders. Additionally, they provide clear communication, training, and pristine customer service.
As well, they serve as the first point of contact for all HCM-related transactions for Georgetown Law’s adjuncts, faculty, staff, student and contingent workers.
The HCM Business Operations Analyst determine and implement best practices for screening and monitoring requests, providing guidance on position evaluations, and completing full cycle HCM and Recruiting transaction activities in the Georgetown Management System (GMS) Workday system. Additional routine responsibilities include processing new hires, transfers, promotions, costing allocations, payments and terminations.
Work Interactions
The HCM Business Operations Analyst has work interactions that include all Law Center Departments, with consistent collaborations with the Dean’s Office, Faculty Affairs, Financial Affairs, Academic Affairs, and IST; University Human Resources, Office of Faculty and Staff Benefits, and other Georgetown University campuses.
Requirements and Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in business, human resources or related field
- At least 3 years of progressive human resources or business administration experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience
- Demonstrated understanding and experience in operations using Human Capital Management and Human Resource Information Systems
- Experience presenting information in large forums and in a higher education environment
Preferred qualifications
- Technical experience with Georgetown Management System/Workday
- Training or facilitation experience
