The Global Disinformation Index is the world's first rating of the media sites based on the risk of the outlet carrying Disinformation. It will bring metrics to our polluted information ecosystem and provide a neutral and transparent way of assessing the Disinformation risk for a specific media outlet. Disinformation is a threat to democracies the world over. There has never been an automatic way to detect risk of disinformation in real time...until now. We are a not for profit entity governed by three principles of neutrality, independence and transparency. Your work is overseen by a board of trustees with no ties to the media, and our funding comes from a broad range of sources. We are cross sectoral coalition of Disinformation Experts, AI specialists and Index experts from around the world. We amplify the work of other disinformation initiatives and bring much needed metrics to help governments, advertisers, media, digital media and the public understand what they are reading. We need all the help we can get.
