Poder Ciudadano is a non- profit and non-profit foundation that was born in 1989 as an initiative of a group of citizens concerned with the defense of civic rights in our country. From its origins our founders took into account for their integration the criterion of gender equality, diversity in political-party and social class inclinations . But they shared a base of common values, considering that in that plurality one could build a civic thought that would engage the participants beyond the vote, leaving aside the differences to strengthen the true value of democracy. These motivations were the central axis for which they built Citizen Power. The ideological differences between the founders reinforced their condition as apartidaires. Our goal is to promote citizen participation and raise public awareness about the public interest problems that require the commitment and participation of all.
