POSITION OVERVIEW
The Festival Senior Graphic Designer is charged with managing the production of graphic design assets for the Sundance Film Festival, including print and digital media. This role will ensure all graphic design tasks are completed on time and are of the highest quality, while supporting with refining. projects and drafts across creative assets.
Working closely under the Creative Director and with the guidance of the Lead Graphic Designer, the Senior Graphic Designer is responsible for supervising a team of graphic designers and project managing their workload to ensure the graphic assets created across all print and digital platforms align with brand vision and directives.
This full-time temporary position works from Monday, September 25, 2023 through Friday, February 23, 2024 and will be required to work extended hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays to meet key deadlines and respond to on-call needs as assigned. This position is based out of our Park City office in order to work onsite in a hybrid capacity throughout the temporary employment.

Overseeing design resource management, including partnering with project managers and strategy leads to plan a marketing calendar that is sustainable and ensures timely delivery.

Working closely with the Lead Graphic Designer to manage the workload of the design team during the Festival season.

Managing the production of graphic systems and design asset kits.

Partnering with external design vendors to ensure quality.

Generating design work for programs and initiatives related to the Sundance Film Festival.

Guiding the development of and actively participating in the design assets for Marketing materials including, but not limited to, print and digital ads, social assets, environmental graphics, signage, merchandise design, special event branding and invitations, video tags, email templates, and digital presentations.

Overseeing accessibility standards for all design work and partnering with accessibility consultant as needed

Reviewing and approving graphics created and used by outside vendors, partners, and outlets to ensure they are applied appropriately.

Developing training materials and conducting training for Festival Graphic Designers to ensure the team is clear on their responsibilities, processes, and expectations.

Managing employees, including selecting and training highly effective graphic designers, providing direction, feedback, and support to ensure employees understand responsibilities and are effective in their roles.

Conducting venue site visits as part of planning and overseeing installation of environmental graphics to ensure quality.
You have the following direct or transferable skill sets:

Legal authorization to work in the United States.

4 years graphic design experience.

Leadership skills and demonstrated experience managing and motivating a team.

Exceptional project management, organizational, and time management skills and attention to detail.

Experience creating graphic assets for digital platforms.

Extensive knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite, InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, and familiarity with other emerging technologies such as Canva.com.

Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.

Ability to assess processes and come up with creative solutions.

Knowledgeable in printing production methods, fabrication, and installation.

A graphic design portfolio that demonstrates creativity and versatility of skills as well as digital design expertise.
