POSITION OVERVIEW
The Festival Coordinator, Digital Technology is charged with supporting the delivery of live events prior to and during the Festival. The Festival Coordinator, Digital Technology will ensure all technical aspects (e.g. Zoom, YouTube, 3Play media, etc.) are adequately planned for and smoothly implemented. Additionally, this position will monitor and manage these technologies during an event, and will help troubleshoot technical problems if they arise.
Working closely under the direction of the LiveOps Support Lead, the Festival Coordinator, Digital Technology supports Sundance Institute’s commitment to discover, support, and inspire independent film and media artists from the United States and around the world, and to introduce audiences to their new work.
This temporary position works part time (10 to 20 hrs per week) from Monday, November 27, 2023 through Tuesday, January 30, 2024. Flexible hours, which may include extended hours, evenings, early mornings, and weekends to meet shift needs and full day availability during the Film Festival will be required. Reliable, high-speed internet connection with at least 10 mbps download speed. This is a fully remote position that does not require any onsite work duties. A total of two (2) roles are available.

Setting up Zoom meetings to support live events, including ensuring permissions are correct and all constituents have the proper information regarding the session and how to join.

Supporting the setup of YouTube livestream to capture the event and ensure it is being successfully shared and recorded.

Assisting with communicating important information regarding live event technology to stakeholders.

Conducting tech checks with colleagues and talent prior to live, in-person Q&A’s to ensure all technical aspects are running smoothly and all stakeholders understand zoom functions and roles.

Assisting with the setup of 3Play media for live captioning.

Troubleshooting any issues that arise during the live event and working quickly to create solutions.
You have the following direct or transferable skill sets:

Legal authorization to work in the United States.

2 years experience in project coordination.

Working knowledge of media streaming devices, including. Zoom and YouTube.

Strong communication skills to mitigate conflict and facilitate positive customer relations.

Ability to work a flexible schedule due to multiple shift rotations as needed.

Ability to maintain a suitable home work environment, free from noise/distractions.

Experience working with Google Workspace including Drive, Docs, Spreadsheet and Slides.

Knowledge of Adobe Creative Cloud including Premiere and Photoshop is a plus.
